In light of the recent unrest in South Africa, Duban was severely affected and there was a concern around the shortage of essential items. Hollywood Bets, S.A.H.M.S. also Salt and Light came to our rescue when they handed over food hampers to the Flojo Butterfly Foundation. We were very humbled by their generosity and have been able to assist St Thomas Home and Khanuisani Day Care Centre for children, also a Newlands East care home called “The Cupboard” the Greenwood Park Cheron Road Tennis Club, Soup kitchens, and many households around Duban benefitted from this.
